Rehire coordinators must now review one-time payments (called non-recurring pay components in Employee Central) from a rehire’s previous employment and determine if the payments should be made to the rehire when they’re hired through the Onboarding Rehire on Old Employment process.
The Data Review for Rehire page now includes all of the one-time payments from the rehire’s previous employment, in addition to any one-time payments that are added during the current onboarding process. As older payments might still hold true for a rehire, a rehire coordinator needs to review all of the one-time payments and determine which payments should be paid to the rehire.
In the Hire/Rehire Configuration: Matching User Configuration object, even if the Default Compensation Information during rehire is set to No, the one-time payments are still available on the rehire data review page so that rehire coordinators can decide about the one-time payments to be made to rehires.
SAP made this enhancement to prevent the automatic deletion of one-time payments from the previous employment for rehires who are hired through the Onboarding Rehire on Old Employment process.
How It Looks Now:
In the current version, one-time payments from the previous employment are available on the rehire data review page for a rehire coordinator to review and decide accordingly. The screenshot of the One Time Payment section of the Data Review for Rehire page shows the current one- time payment and the one-time payment from the rehire’s previous employment.
How It Looked Before:
In the previous version, one-time payments from the previous employment weren’t available on the rehire data review page and were automatically deleted when the page was submitted. The screenshot of the One Time Payment section of the Data Review for Rehire page only shows the one-time payment for the current employment.
Entity Merge Logic for Rehire with Old Employment
When the Pre-Onboarding Rehire Verification (first rehire check) or Onboarding Rehire Verification (second rehire check) is successful, and the rehire coordinator clicks on Rehire with Old Employment, the Rehire Data Review page is displayed. This screen displays data for different entities from different records.
